Dicks Sporting Goods Sponsors the Oilers

The unique partnership of the Dallas Oilers, Ice Training Center, and Sportsplex has just received another member to our athletic development team – DICK’S Sporting Goods. Understanding the importance of developing athletes through cross training in multiple sports, Dick’s Sporting Goods has agreed to a two-year sponsorship of our LTAD programs.

USA Hockey’s ADM (American Development Model) utilizes long term athletic development as the foundation for successfully developing hockey players. Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) is a generic, conceptual outline for developing kids into athletes. This developmental framework can be applied to any sport. The Dallas Oilers are committed to applying these training principles to ice hockey through the partnership with Sportsplex. Cosmo Clarke will serve as Director of Athletic Development for the Oilers’ LTAD training programs.

The sponsorship from Dick’s is a combination of financial and equipment contributions to help promote and develop the training program over the next two years.
